Virtual medicine allows patients to receive medical care remotely using secure video calls, phone consultations, or online messaging. This approach provides convenient access to healthcare without the need to visit a clinic in person.
Benefits of Virtual Medicine:
Telemed services are provided using secure video calls. Most insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid, cover virtual visits. Copays and coverage are usually the same as in-person care. Virtual visits work well for many routine and follow-up needs, but they cannot replace in-person care when physical exams, labs, or procedures are needed. Your provider will help determine if a virtual visit is appropriate.
At Kimberly Cares, we offer another type of virtual appointment we call " NoDoc" to adult patients. It does not literally mean there is "no" doctor or licensed medical provider involvement. This medical evaluation does not require you to visit the office or appear on a video call. NoDoc appointments are self-pay only, and limited to simple, common conditions such as sinusitis or bacterial vaginosis symptoms. You simply complete the intake form for any of the listed conditions which will be reviewed by a licensed medical provider for differential diagnosis and treatment as decided by the provider. It's that simple!
Please reach us at info@kim-cares.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
NoDoc services are limited to the conditions listed above. You can make an in-office appointment for other treatment within the scope outlined on our service page.
No appointment is required. Simply complete the medical evaluation intake form, remit payment, and well will take care of the rest! Review the terms and conditions prior to submitting your evaluation request.
Medication prescriptions will be sent electronically to one pharmacy of your choice. If you need to change pharmacies after your evaluation is complete, contact the original pharmacy to have the medication transferred to any other pharmacy you'd like. No refills are provided.
You will need to make an in-office appointment at our clinic or the nearest provider of your choice for a more detailed medical examination. NoDoc is meant to provide quick access for simple medical concerns and does not provide ongoing care.
Yes, however the provider will determine the safest way to proceed on a case-by-case basis depending on what symptoms you are experiencing and the frequency at which those symptoms recur. Example: You were treated for a UTI or vaginitis last month, you followed all instructions, and now you have similar symptoms again. NoDoc would be appropriate. Symptom recurrence within 1-2 weeks of treatment requires an office visit for a more thorough medical exam and associated testing.
